Life insurance and annuities are two common, and popular, forms of long-term investments for financial planning that are available on the market today. Unfortunately, many people get these two products confused. While annuities are designed to provide funds for an individual to live on, the goal of life insurance serves to provide for an individual’s family and other dependents once he or she passes away. So while the two products have different ends, both play critical roles in the retirement planning process. In this course, we will explain the basics of both life insurance and annuities, and the important role both play in the retirement planning process.
